Status and Motivation of Teachers in India and its effect on quality of education

Gurur Brahma.. Gurur Vishnu … the words, that epitomised the value of a teacher once upon a time, have been reduced to just lip service/mere words. Teachers have become an ambiguous entity that struggle to find a space in all our conversations around education. Can we talk about education without talking about the teacher? Like how we normally forget the messenger on receiving the message are we leaving behind our teachers after receiving an education?
