We are both more connected and more fragmented than ever before. Our increasing access to information can both heighten our awareness of issues far beyond our reach while at the same time could allow us to narrow our focus more than ever. More than ever there is a sense that in order to address big social issues the power of a group must be harnessed. In short, creating a community. What is it that makes community potent? How do we instill a sense of shared values and purpose to tackle large scale issues? How do we contextualize our community to coalition with others?
